equation = equation (1) .85m + 30 = t
equation (2) 2.25m= t
let m rep # of movies rented
let t rep the total cost
substitution methode:
.85m + 30 = 2.25m <------------( because in the second equationd t = 2.25m)
30 = 2.25m -.85m
30 = 1.4m
m = 21
21 movies to make the membership worth it

Hello Miss Ruth
You know the story of Ruth and Naomi from the Old Testament. My daughter is named Naomi. You should meet her.
You did MEAN 2dollars 25cent and not 225 dollars to rent a video---must be a GREAT movie at that price
0.85V + 30.00 = 2.25V
-.85V....................-.85V
30.00 = 1.40V
******....*******
1.40.......1.40
V = 21.4 Videos
