When i multiply mix numbers like 7*1/3 x 3*2/3 I would change them into improper fractions then multiply across. After that i would just put them back into there mix number states, no simplifying or reducing is needed right?

And when i'm adding mixed numbers and one is in the parentheses 2*4/3(3*3/2 - 3*1/2) I turn them into improper fractions then subtract then turn the mix number out side the parentheses into a improper fraction then multiply after i multiply and they are in the improper fraction form, i dont simplify or reduce them i just turn then into improper fractions again.

first you convert all mix numbers in to improper fractions and then you solve them and obtain a single number then you convert it back to mixed number.

2*4/3(3*3/2 - 3*1/2)

=10/3()9/2-7/2)

=10/3(9-7/2)

=10/3(2/2)

=10/3(1)

=10/3

=2*4/3

mostly it is understood that the answer format should be the same as question. like if question is mixed number answer should also be and if it is decimal we are supposed to provide answer in decimal to unless instructed otherwise

Are you just picking out random mixed numbers?

Because 2 4/3 is not a valid mixed number. It should be 3 1/3

(The fraction part of a mixed number is always a proper fraction)

Also, you may need to simplify

⇒ 1 1/3 x 1 1/8

Change into improper fractions

⇒ 4/3 x 9/8

Multiply across

⇒ 36/24

Put back into mixed number state

⇒ 1 12/24

Note that this CAN be simplified

⇒ 1 1/2

Or we could have simplified before putting back into mixed number state:

⇒ 36/24 ⇒ 3/2 ⇒ 1 1/2

Multiplying blended numbers is a comparatively basic element,as quickly as you comprehend the approach. whilst multiplying blended numbers continuously placed it in to certainly one of those an incorrect fraction. 4 2/7 will become 30/7 6 2/5 will become 32/5 then you definitely initiate multiplying the numbers diagonally. 30/7 x 32/5 30 is a different of 5,subsequently you are able to simplify the two fractions. After being simplified the two fractions will appear as if this: 6/7 x 32/a million 32 isn't a different of seven, subsequently you are able to no longer simplify them. Now you in basic terms different the two between the climate. 6 x 32 = 192 and seven x a million =7 then you definitely divide 192 by using 7 to make the incorrect fraction in to a blended quantity. the in basic terms good answer is 192 divided by using 7 is 27 so which you multiply 27 by using 7=189 Then subtract 189 from 192 which delivers 3. SO the respond would be 27 3/7 !!! wish that helps

I don't see why you would need to turn them back into mixed numbers unless the instructions for the problem specifically say to do that. It's the same answer either way. Everything else you said sounds correct
