I am looking for this math formula that is on the tip of my tongue but I can't quite remember it. It's like the quadratic formula where you can solve something like x^2+x+1=0
Except it solves x^3+x^2+x+1 = 0
or x^4 +x^2 +x + 1 = 0
etc...

I am not aware of any sort of formula that can solve polynomials with degree greater than 2. Maybe you are thinking about Pascal's Triangle or synthetic division?
?

There is no formula that solves for those...
Maybe you're thinking of synthetic division?
