Okay, this is a two part problem. Help is always appreciated!
Part A

Part B

∑ (answer to part A)^2 + 1

well..since t = -2 you replace it in the first problem

1--2 =3 and the two vertical lines mean absolute value which means you keep or change the number to positive
PART A = 3
PART B:
(3)2=1
always do multiplication first so 3x2=6
6+1=7
so PART B = 7

A) 3+2+1+0+1+2 = 9
B) either 4 [81] + 1 OR 4[ 81 +1] , since the sum generally starts at 1 if no start point given

There is part of question B missing as there is no summation to do.
