I'm trying to see how cm and inches work specially on my ruler so that I can fit a size.For instance size 6.5 to size 7 the chart has inches and cm.how do I find inch 9.0625 and how the hell do I find 9.875!

9.0625 inches = 9 1/16 inches

9.875 inches = 9 7/8 inches



Finding those on your ruler should be easy.



All the inch measurements given have fractions that are halves, fourths, eighths or sixteenths. Those all show up on a standard ruler, which usually has a line every 1/16 of an inch.

to find 9.875, first you must forget the calibration on the ruler, for the inche part. because they divide it into eight parts.

instead of 8 parts, now you have to imagine divide it ( one inch) into ten part



then you count form one end a tenth up until you reach the eighth/10

then .875 is 3/4 of the one/tenth. between the eighth and the ninth.

inches (9) ....1... 2... 3...4 ...5 ... 6... 7... 8... 9...-10 (inches)

............ .................. ..........,5 mid point of one inch ..

....... ............. ............ ............ ......... ...8..3/4 ..9 .. is where you should be

But because it is too small 3/4 of 0ne tenth of an inch, you would not find much difference length

I mean between 9.8 and 9.9 inches.

I don't see what your problem is. Unless you have not described your difficulty correctly, the answer is

right there on the chart:



UK Sizes Inches Centimeters

4.5 9.0625 23

7 9.875 25.1





By the way, the conversion factor between inches and centimeters is 1 inch = 2.54 centimeters.
