I am looking for some type of game or exercises to brush up on just everyday type of math such as being able to multiply, add, subtract in your head faster or something along these lines. I bought a sudoku puzzle book thinking it would be something like this but actually it doesnt involve any math at all, still a good mind exercise just not what I am looking for. Anyone know of anything like this?

It's not really about the distance but more about the time. Anything more than 20 minutes is good. Getting started with exercise is hard so set daily goals. The first day you could try jogging/walking for 21 minutes but by the third try to jogg for 21 minutes. These techniques will help you to lose weight, and help you to enjoy actually doing the exercise because you won't feel overwhelmed.

the best way is the traditional working out sums on paper but if u want a puzzle sort of thing, try magic squares.

magic squares are a kind of square grid filled with digits such that by adding (in 1 type of magic square) or multiply(in another type of magic square) the digits in any row or column in the square, u get the same number.

and besides, many of us in answers keep posing mathematical puzzles and brain teasers once in a while. so be on the lookout for them just the same.

Try to perform complex differentiation in your head, or if possible, integration too.

Studies show that complex calculus changes the structure of your brain.
