What does it mean for a number to have a repeating decimal representation, a non-repeating, and a terminating decimal representation?

I know repeating and terminating are associated with rational nos and non-repeating with irrational nos, but i dont understand what it means, how such nos look like.

So pls do give some examples in each case.
Thanks!

A terminating decimal ends. Ex 1/4= .25 1/2= .5

A repeating decimal has digits that repeat on forever. ex 1/3= .3333333333333 the threes go on forever

non repeating decimal is a decimal that will never stop but their digits do not repeat and example is pi 3.1451

The number go one forever but they do not repeat.
