Haven't done this in a long time so I just want to make sure I'm doing them right.

I need to round to the nearest 0.1 g

11.49 g
is rounded to 11.5 g

14.25 g
is rounded to 14.2 g

12.03 g
is rounded to 12. g

Did I do them all right?

I'm not sure about the last one.

11.49 g

is rounded to 11.5 g yup

14.25 g

is rounded to 14.2 g nope..its a 5, so its 14.3 g

12.03 g

is rounded to 12. g

12.0 g--always put the zero because it is a placeholder and thats where you need to round to

when you round, if its a 5 or higher, round up and a 4 or lower rounds down. (that applies to the number to the right of the place value which you need to round to..you needed to round to the nearest .1 g, so you go one more to the right and use the 5 or more or 4 or less rule)

I usually round up on the five, consider it this way, the 0 always stays null and dosent round out, and the 5 is 5 full integers away, anaway I round up on the 5,therefore 14.25 would round up to 14.3. Anyway lets say you round up at 6. 6 is the break point where you round up, you round down at 5. Alright, if you have 14.25, and your rounding to the nearest 10th, then the five rounds down and you get 14.2. Now, if it were 14.26 you would round up with the 6 and come out with 14.3. Rounding remains the same-always go to the last available integer and round up or down according to your break point. If your last available digit is 6 or greater, round the next available integer down the line one up, that is add one to it. If it is 5 or less round down, working from right to left allow that number to remain the same and dump the rest to your rounding point. 12.03 rounds to 12 because we round the "0" in the tenths department back to 0 because the 3 is less than 5, therefore we dump the .03 and round to 12, its rounded to the nearest tenth(12.0). Now lets say you had 12.06, the 6 would round the 0 up one, making it 1, 12.06 rounded to the nearest tenth would be 12.1. Make certain you know which numbers they are rounding up and down on. I think some people do round down on 5 and up on 6, and others do round up on 5 and down on 4.

14.25 is rounded to 14.3 because if it is 5+ then you bump up to the next number. You did the rest right. Also, you always round to however many places you were shown in the problem. hope i helped.

14.25 is rounded to 14.3, since the convention is that if a digit ends in 5 you round up.

THe others are right (though you should write 12 or 12.0 instead of 12.)

enable distance around music = d m velocity for prepare A = d / 40 m/s velocity for prepare B = d / fifty 5 m/s Relative velocity = d/40 - d/fifty 5 m/s = (55d - 40d) / 2200 m/s = 15d / 2200 m/s time = distance / velocity = 2200 / 15 s = 440 / 3 s = 440 / one hundred and 80 min = 2.40 4 min = 2 min 26 sec

Yes

No

Yes

(anything that ends in a 5 or up gets rounded up, not down.)

I believe the second one goes to 14.3 because 5 goes up instead of down.

The last one is fine - 12.03 is rounded to 12.

14.25 g

This might be correct, but it might by 14.3 as well.
