Question:
Testing: Can everyone see plus and minus signs?

x 1 = 2
x 1=2
1 1=2
2 4 = 6
3-1=2
5 - 2 = 3
a - b = c
a-b=c

Lately, I've noticed a lot of math questions have the addition and subtraction signs missing. This question is a test to see if there are any scripting problems with Yahoo Answers that is deleting the math symbols.

This has been noticed on the Y!A Bugs board...the suggestion there is to not put spaces anywhere near the plus signs, and it will be fine.

8x+9 is ok, but 8x(space)+(space)9 is not.

Hope that helps!

I can see the minus signs just fine, but the plus signs always seem to be missing.

It's only a problem in the question though, never the answers. And it seems that when a questioner adds additional details they show up fine in there too.

If the first four use plus signs, they aren't showing up.
