I have a few problems I am woring on, nd though they may be easy, I'm stuck & really need help (understanding the process as well, not just answers).

1. m+m=m
2. 2x-7(x-2)=3(x-4)
3 7y+5=4y+7
4 Determine interest rate of a loan with a principal amount of $5,600, duration of 15 months, and interest cost of $682.50?
5 What was the amount of principal on a loan at 10.5% interest for 7 months if the total interest cost of the loan was $147?

I know these are not hard problems, but I've been really sick & can't seem to focus oneven the simplest thing, and just hoping someone can give me a moment of clarity =)
Thanks in advance!

1. In general this is not correct. The only situation where the equation was correct is when m=0

2. You need to learn to "distribute" the "factor" over the content inside the parentheses, so the equation becomes:

2x - 7x -(-14) = 3x - 14

Combining "like terms" and adjusting the "signs" yields:

-5x + 14 = 3x - 14

adding 5x to both sides yields:

14 = 3x - 14

Adding 14 to both sides yields:

28 = 3x

Dividing both sides by 3 yields:

x = 9 1/3

3. Subtracting 4 y from both sides yields:

3y + 5 = 7

Subtracting 5 from both sides yields

3y = 2

Dividing both sides by 3 yields

y = 2/3

4. 15 months = 1.25 years

Formula is interest = principal x rate x time

Plug in what you know:

682.50 = 5600 x R x 1.25

You should be able to take it from here

5. 7 months = 0.583 years Plug in the other values you know:

147 = P x 0.105 x 0.583

the main suitable answer demands which you stick to the guidelines of mathematical operations. First, you may desire to upload what's interior the parenthesis, then multiply that via what's outdoors, accompanied via branch. So 6/2(a million+2) = 6/2(3) = 6/6 = a million
