I stink at exponents and now I have to solve this ridiculous problem!!

Can someone please please please explain to me HOW to solve the problem (2²)²? I don't get it! Do you change 2² into 4 and then square that? I just don't get it.

Please it would be a HUGE help if someone could explain this to me. I'm not even looking for this answer I just need to know HOW to solve it, because I have like 4 more other questions like these and I need to know how to finish it =(

yep. that's exactly how to do it. you can also times the outer exponent by the inner exponent, and that would give you 2^4, which is the same answer 16. (2^2)^2 is the same as 2^4. Hope that helps.

yes, you change 2² into 4. then, you must square the 4, so you would get 4² = 16. your answer is 16.

Yes, you do get it. 2 squared squared is 2 to the 4th power = 16 or you can square two and then square the square of 2. Either way, you get 16.
