What are the easiest phd math programs in the country?

I know lots of universities offer phd in math, but some are exceptionally tough while some are manageable. I want to know which of them are the easiest of all. By "easiest" I mean, simple exams (not extremely complicated), or take home exam if possible, easy oral defense questions, etc etc. I don't care if university is not high ranked. It should be accredited and that's all I want. I am half way through my master's degree in math but I don't want to take more headache of super tough doctoral study in math. I can do the doctoral program if its manageable. If exams are super human like or similar, then forget it.

Sorry, but why bother? To graduate with a degree that nobody will respect anyway? A garbage degree will not earn you a job afterwards. In fact, it may well make that more difficult. If you can't handle the mathematics, then it is time to recognize you can't handle the math.



Just looking for an easy degree is a complete waste of your time and money. But if you insist, find an online degree. I gather there are online "schools" that will happily give you a degree for virtually no effort invested. You will pay handsomely of course.

If you're not interested in a research/academic position then you may want to consider settling for your masters and abandoning the PhD. Cause regardless of the school, writing a dissertation is no walk in the park, plus your choice to stay or go really depends on where you see yourself in five or ten years. If you think you may end up in private industry then I should warn you that there are many companies/sectors that discriminate against PhDs. For example I used to work for Bear Stearns, an investment bank in NYC and our department head always weeded out PhDs. Bear wasn't the only one - I've worked for other banks that did the same. Regardless of where you go allow me to offer you this small piece of advice. Get an OLD advisor. Get an advisor that has a long track record of producing PhD's and 1 that has tenure. DO NOT chose a young, untenured PhD for your advisor. Good luck.
