So have plugged in a formula for y=2+x
my table settings ar that my independent is asked and my dependent is on auto
So went to my table and entered my x's given to me so i get my y output.

My question is how can I sum up my y intergers all on the calculator without having to write them down then add them up one by one?

Yes you can.

You'll need to know how to access Y-equations and L1 from text lines. Press [VARS] [►] [ENTER] (TI-82 users reading this: [2nd] [VARS] [ENTER]) to get a list of the equations. Selecting one pastes it where the cursor is. Pressing [2nd] [1] pastes L1 where the cursor is.

Open up the STATS editor ([STATS] [ENTER]) and clear out any values in L1. Type in Y1(your x-value here) ([2nd] [VARS] [ENTER] [ENTER] [ ( ] ) and press [ENTER] to evaluate Y1 at point X and store it to L1. For instance, to store y(5), type Y1(5) and press [ENTER].

Once all the values are entered, use the sum( function ([2nd] [STAT] [►] [5]) to find the sum. On the home screen, type in sum(L1) and it will add all the values together and return the result.

Absolute value is represented on the TI-80 4 Plus via the abs( function. it particularly is accessed via [Math] > NUM > a million:abs(. for that reason, doing some thing like... abs(-5) might return 5. The TI-80 4 Plus won't be able to sparkling up for variables inherently; one among those function is only available on fashions such by way of fact the TI-89 or TI-ninety two. For polynomial expressions, you will possibly be waiting to discover recommendations via graphing the situation interior the [Y=] menu and searching the zeroes. it is likewise possible to be waiting to apply the Solver ([Math] > 0:Solver...) to discover the zeroes besides. The TI-80 4 Plus does not have a fraction button the two (assuming you mean some thing which will make it seem as a fraction or mixed huge sort). somewhat, only only sort out the fraction as though it have been a branch situation (technically, it particularly is). which you will sort one-0.5, it would only seem as a million/2. you additionally can use the ?Frac command located in [Math] > a million:?Frac to transform decimals to fractions, or simplify them. as an instance: 0.5?Frac might supply the respond a million/2. 4/6?Frac might supply the respond 2/3. solid good fortune including your TI-80 4 Plus endeavours.

I don't know how to add the y outputs from a table, and I don't know if it is possible.

If you are familiar with the STAT functions, there is a way to do it.

Suppose your x values are 2, 7 10, 15

Enter them in the L1 list

Go to the L2 list and up arrow to highlight the column heading. At the bottom of the screen it says L2=.

Type L2= 2 + L1. The L1 key is above the 1 key. We are using the L1 in place of the x in your formula.

Now hit 2nd List (above the stat key). Go sideways to the MATH menu and choose SUM.

On the mainscreen you enter SUM(L2). It will add the numbers in the L2 list.

Good luck.
