I'm not sure what a "slope intercept graph" might be, but the function is linear and the graph will be a straight line. Simply determine two points on the line, plot them, and draw a line through the two points.
Or, plot a point at the y-intercept, (0,-1). Then use the slope 2 to find the second point: from the y-intercept, count over 1 unit to the right and up 2 units for the second point. That would be the point (1, 1).

First you must realise it is a straight line graph. (Since y = something x)
Then you need 2 points to draw a straight line.
Choose any 2 "x" values. I'd choose: x= 0 and x=1 for an example.
So you have 2 points (0,-1) and (1,1).
Draw a straight line through these 2 points. You have the graph.

you can graph it using a graphing calculator (preferably a TI-83 or higher)
go to the Y= button at the very top then enter the number 2, to get the letter X, press the button below the MODE button once, then enter the -1. then press the graph button to the top-right of the calculator. it should graph it.
If it gives you an error, then yu probably have to turn your stat plot off. to do this:
press 2nd
press Y=
press ENTER
then move your cursor right to OFF
press ENTER
then press the GRAPH button and it should show you your graph
Hope this helps! :)

y=2x+1 y=2x+1 Let x be 3 then y = 7 (3,7)
