xt= 2x+11 and xz= 5x+8,
find the value of x.

Does xt mean x times t? (same for xz?)

x t = 2x + 11

x t - 2x = 11

x(t-2) = 11

x z = 5x + 8

x z - 5x = 8

x(z-5) = 8
