positive plus positive is a positive, but negative plus negative is positive. all your other info is correct =)

pos+pos=pos

neg=neg=neg

pos-pos=pos or neg if the first neg is bigger than the second one, it is negetive, if the second one is bigger than the first, it's positive

neg-neg=same thing, pos or neg if the first neg is bigger than the second one, it is negetive, if the second one is bigger than the first, it's positive

neg+pos=whatever number is largers sign

trust me I am in 7th grade pre-algebra and work with this stuff every day. Think of the neg=neg thing this way.

+=two -'s. Look at a plus sign. You can make one out of 2 negetive signs, see. - and a - sideways would make a +

For multiplying it is same signs positive, different signs negative so..

poss*poss=positive

Ex: 5*5=25

Neg*Neg=positive

Ex: -5*-5=25

For adding, adding a negative is like subtraction

poss+poss=positive

Ex: 5+5=10

Neg+Neg=negative

Ex: -5 + - 5 = -10

no poss+poss=Positive and Neg+Neg=Negative it's only in multiplication and division that the sign changes. hope i helped.

poss+poss=positive

neg+neg=negative

2+2 is not negative 4.

in addition it just stays the same

poss + poss = poss

neg + neg = neg

neg + pos can go either way depending on which is larger

no

try plugging in #s and see that:

poss + poss=poss

neg+neg=neg

negxneg=positive

posxpos=pos

neg+neg=neg or pos. depending on the larger number so like -1+2=1 because the larger number is pos.

and 1+(-2)=-1 because the larger number is neg.

Not quite... POSS+POSS always equals a poss, and a NEG+NEG will always equal a negative.

it took me a wile 2 learn this but a positive and a positive is never a negetive that one is commen sence negetive and negetive is a posite but depends if u r doing addition subtraction or mult or divi

nooooo its positive times positive = positive

negetive times negetive= poisitive

positive plus positive = positive

negitive plus negitive= negetive

I promise sweetie.

o it only works for multiplication. if u owe $5 and then $5 more dollars u now owe ten u dont get ten.

(-5) +(-5)=(-10)

(5)+(5)=(10)

(-5)x(-5)=(25)

(-5)X(5)=(-25)
U don't need 2 know

you got the addition backwards
?

same signs add different signs signs subtract
