Presuming you have 4 specific digits such as 1, 2, 3, and 4, there are 24 permutations (4! = 24):

1234, 1243, 1423, 4123, 1324, 1342, 1432, 4132, 3124, 3142, 3412, 4312, 2134, 2143, 2413, 4213, 2314, 2341, 2431, 4231, 3214, 3241, 3421, 4321

I used an online lottery tool to generate these.

I assume you mean numbers, so it's 10^4, or 10000.

You have the digits 0 through 9, and you have 10 choices for the first digit, ten for the second, ten for the third and ten for the fourth.

ARe you talking about 4 numbers, or 4 letters and numbers?

4 numbers create the numbers from 0000 to 9999, that's 10,000 different values.
