Define the tangent of an angle... i also have two more questions (not math related but you may know them)

2. A drawing that shows the front, top and side views of an object is called?

3. If that drawing has dimensions on each of the views it is called?

Thank you

the tangent of an angle is nothing but the slope of the straight line that makes the angle with respect to the x-axis.

enable the angles be A, B and 100 and eighty - (A + B) Then, the tangents are tanA, tanB, and tan(100 and eighty - A - B) = - tan(A + B) For simplicity anticipate between the tangents to be equivalent to at least a million. we've one attitude = 40 5 deg. We merely favor to locate 2 different angles that could want to finish the triangle. enable tanB = a million. Then, tan(100 and eighty - A - B) = - tan (40 5 + A) = (-a million) (tan45 + tanA) / (a million - tan45*tanA) = (a million + tanA) / (tanA - a million) we choose both tanA and tan(100 thirty 5 - A) to be total numbers. hence, enable tan(100 thirty 5 - A) = m, the position m is an total volume for this reason, a million + tanA = m*tanA - m tanA * (m - a million) = m + a million tanA = (m + a million) / (m - a million) We see that when we provide diverse values for m, the numerator exceeds denominator via two. it is, we get the fractions - 3, 2, 5/3, 6/4, 7/5... etc and except the first 2, something are all decimal numbers. (The fractions somewhat attain a million at infinity) for this reason, for tanA to be total, m = 2 or 3. this provides the three tangents as a million, 2, 3. The corresponding angles are = 40 5, sixty 3.435, and 71.565 ranges. They do sum as a lot as 100 and eighty.

The tangent of an angle is the ratio of the length of the opposite side to the length of the adjacent side (called so because it can be represented as a line segment tangent to the circle)

2 & 3 may refer to an isometric drawing?
